St Martin’s and Seamer Methodist are idyllic churches in the village of Seamer, just outside of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. They are only a few minutes drive from the local beaches, and a slightly longer drive into the North York Moors, along with all the places of interest found in the area.
St. Martin’s is a relevant and lively church, the worship at the 11:00am Sunday Service and the evening services are contemporary, reflective and alive! The first of the month is an All-age or baptism service, the rest are a Modern Service with a Sunday Club for the youngsters.
The 9:30am Traditional Communion service, with hymns, is a traditional service, with a mix of BCP and Common Worship, for those who prefer this style of worship.
We are a sociable church, with regular Men’s and Women’s Fellowship groups, church in the pub, coffee mornings and house-groups. See the Events page for more information.
The Church is involved with New Wine and has hosted New Wine events. If you are interested in joining the New Wine Leaders Network then please contact us.
St. Martin’s is seeking God’s vision for the ministry here in Seamer, Crossgates and Irton. We are seeking to share the message of Jesus with our community because Jesus makes the difference! We believe that Jesus is the Son of God and came to transform and open the way so that we can live knowing the one true God on earth now and this is reflected in our worship. We preach the Bible and move in the power of His Spirit.
You are very welcome to any of our events, services or other activities. There are prayer groups that encourage the sharing of the prophetic and the spiritual gifts, we have a God who heals and is capable of miracles. We allow Jesus to lead the way in all that we do.
You are welcome to join the Christian family that expands across the nations and through all time for eternity, ‘Jesus is the way, the truth and the life’. Get to know Him!
